Sen. Boozeman’s support of the Rural Forest Markets Act (RFMA) is welcome news to NativState. Currently, we’re working with more than 250 small landowners to produce and deliver high-quality nature-based #forestcarbon credits. The support outlined in the RFMA would make it possible for more landowners to participate in the voluntary carbon market and expand beyond the 300K+ acres that we have currently conserved. That translates to new income sources and conserved acres for landowners, high-quality nature-based carbon credits for organizations seeking to offset their carbon emissions, and improved forest health, water resources, and wildlife habitat.
