🌟 Reflecting on an inspiring session yesterday with Ellab Ireland on International Women’s Day! 🌟 It was a privilege to partner with a company whose progressive leaders Claire McMahon and Aoife Keaney truly prioritize their people's growth and development. Their commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is not just rhetoric; it's ingrained in their actions and willingness to have those challenging conversations and reflections on how we can do more. DEI isn't a one-size-fits-all solution—it's about tailoring strategies to fit the unique fabric of each organization, context, people and local community. Tools like a DEI scorecard to set aspirational goals and then localizing solutions is really powerful. The feedback from the very engaged and interested participants was amazing. Knowledge alone isn't enough; it's the motivation to improve and the actionable strategies that make a real difference. We need a world of real people who recognise we all have biases and take steps daily to do better. Let's continue striving for DEI in our workplaces, ensuring clear actions that everyone can understand and contribute to. 📢 No prosperity without digital inclusion ! 🎯It's alarming that 40% of Belgians aged 16 to 74 lack basic #digital skills. Yet digital inclusion is crucial for everyone—citizens, the #economy, and the #government. By 2030, up to 560,000 new jobs will require such skills. We must act now to prevent further digital exclusion. The DigitAll coalition, which includes over 120 organisations, is working to address this issue. However, progress is fragmented. We need a cohesive strategy supported by all levels of government. 🚀Together with 63 other CEOs and ambassadors, I endorse DigitAll’s Open Letter and call on future regional and federal governments to join us in this mission by acting on our three recommendations for a digitally inclusive #Belgium: ✅Develop a coordinated strategy. ✅Provide structural funding. ✅Work on an inclusive approach.   Together, we reaffirm our dedication to creating a more inclusive digital landscape where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Yesterday Wikimedia Polska joined the ranks of signatories of the Diversity Charter - an international initiative promoted by the European Commission, coordinated in Poland by Responsible Business Forum / Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu. As an #employer and as an #organisation built on the values of #openness and #inclusiveness, we naturally accept this honour as well as this commitment. It is a long-term commitment to develop all ways of nurturing and strengthening respect for #diversity in our team and immediate environment. ➡ The Diversity Charter is a written commitment which is signed by organizations that oblige themselves to the introduction of equal treatment policy and diversity management, as well as active prevention of discrimination and mobbing in the workplace. ✅ There are over 12 thousand signatories in 26 European countries so far, and over 300 signatories in Poland ❣ Yesterday Julia Maria Koszewska, PhD (Doc.Soc.Sci) - Wikimedia Polska's Vice President - has officially confirmed our committment in this matter.
