'YES, transparency of pay creates a more positive experience for applicants' I couldn't agree more! Transparency of pay not only fosters trust and fairness but also helps candidates make more informed decisions about their career choices. That being said, there are other elements to consider. Check out our recent blog by Samantha Gillespie for a comprehensive perspective on pay transparency in the hiring process. https://lnkd.in/gcGqJyjz #paytransparency #salaryexpectations #recruitment

Is the movement of pay transparency, creating a paradigm shift in the market for job seekers? Job seekers at large have concluded that there is extreme competitiveness and difficulty navigating finding their next great role. At large, many of those competing for roles are gainfully employed, but based on research and pay transparency with competing roles at different companies, many employed people are seeking better paying opportunities. This is creating a hardship for these who are unemployed, because of the overwhelming responses to job postings. As recruitment efforts prove to be fruitful for recruiters, due mostly in part to the influx of many qualified applicants, it also proves challenging to wade through the wave of interested contenders, and disappointingly, many seekers do not get a fair shot. Pay transparency is a crucial step towards fairness and equity in the job market. However, it's essential to acknowledge the unintended consequences and work towards creating a more balanced and inclusive hiring process. What say you? Is pay transparency creating a new problem, while solving another?

As a recruiter, I fully support pay transparency. 💸 Here's why: ⚖️ 𝗜𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 By openly sharing pay, we level the playing field for candidates. Many folks don't know what they should be making, and transparency helps job seekers learn their worth (and negotiate for it)! 🤝 𝗜𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 Transparency helps companies identify wage gaps or discrepancies. This empowers us to address imbalances, ensuring everyone gets equal pay for equal work. ⏰ 𝗜𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 Sharing salaries upfront saves everyone time and effort. Candidates can focus on pursuing jobs that meet their expectations, and we recruiters avoid chasing folks who aren't in our pay range. 💛 𝗜𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 Transparency builds trust. When a company is open and honest about pay, it fosters positive relationships with job seekers, and helps craft great candidate experiences. 🎈 𝗜𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 A survey by Visier Inc. found that 79% of job seekers want pay transparency in job ads. Yet, only 17% of North American employers disclose pay when not required to by law. Want to attract top talent? Start with transparency! 🥇 𝗜𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 By being open about pay, we stay competitive in the job market. People are drawn to companies that offer fair, competitive wages, and transparency helps showcase our commitment to providing just that! ——— What are your thoughts on pay transparency?
