Imma gonna cheat and share this lovely post from Lexi because I am still deep into catch-up game today (keeping it real folx!) Hosting an event of the magnitude of this online Summit pretty much solo was a learning curve, so there you go ✨ The good: the support from our speakers, Lexi and Steph who volunteered on the day, Planable and the team who sponsored the event has been invaluable. Helped bringing a strong crowd of INCREDIBLE people. 💡 Little tip: offer replay-only tickets. Yes, it means you will not get as many people live, but it helps setting expectations, and help people who know they cannot commit to join on the day. 55% of our tickets were replays. ⚠️ The lesson: systems, systems, systems. I wish I could get more hands on admin support before and after the event. We are running at a very streamlined capacity, so I had to juggle a lot of balls (again keeping it real). It has been tough at times. And yes. HELLA tiring. But the systems I did set up helped me staying alive and run the rest of the business in between. 💡 Little tip: create a dashboard that streamlines comms. I used Notion + Tally Forms + Zapier - too late in the game, but it helped from 10 days in the countdown! I'll do a roundup of kudos and takeaway posts throughout the whole month, to give our speakers the love their deserve. For now know that I am eternally grateful. Had the absolute pleasure of attending and supporting Alt Marketing School with their incredible Business of Marketing Summit today. The quality of speakers was just mind-blowing and that is all credit to the amazing work that Fab Giovanetti does (always). Of course, she's nigh on impossible to photograph because she never stops moving! I'd truly recommend the courses are coming up from Alt Marketing School, and there's a chance to win some courses in the comments too (whilst also shaping the future of marketing!)
