Public transportation plays a pivotal role in the success of large-scale events, like sports tournaments, music festivals, or major conferences. We learned from peers around the world on how they successfully planned and delivered transportation services for some of the most highly attended events.
In advance of hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 finals, along with seven additional matches at MetLife Stadium, NJ TRANSIT yesterday, hosted a workshop at Rutgers Newark with transit leaders, as well as event-planning experts from around the world to share insights and best practices for planning and executing large-scale events. Metropolitan Transportation Authority unveiled a fleet of 60 #electricbuses 🚌 #MTA plans to receive an additional 205 electric buses starting in late 2025, with negotiations underway for a further 265 buses by 2027.
