GREAT FEEDBACK FROM ONE OF OUR STUDENTS… Hey guys, good morning and #TGIF but please, go through this feedback from one of the participants of the African Students Leadership Academy… My name is Gift Unachukwu, I had my FREE secondary education at the Rochas Foundation College, Orji in Owerri under the scholarship of the Rochas Foundation. As the best graduating student in 2023 from RFC Owerri, I was again awarded another scholarship to study Law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State. I am a girl who of late was thinking about the state of our nation, of our youths, and of Africa. Imagine living in a place where your future stands on shaky ground, a place where the citizens and youths have resigned themselves to fate, a place where mediocrity and corruption hold sway. I looked all around me, and it seemed everyone is so busy, just too busy to care about my thoughts. So, I decided that I would become that changemaker, even though, I am just 16 years of age. But of course, I needed a place or a person who could teach me how to become that changemaker, I desired. I searched all around but I didn't really find what I was looking for. I was disappointed because it seemed to me like nobody really cared about the plights of the youths. But then a miracle happened, and my dream came true. That miracle that happened, is the African Students Leadership Academy initiated and sponsored by the Ugwumba Leadership Center. The Center actually understood the assignment and created a platform that brought together students and youths from all walks of life, across Africa for the purposes of validating our dreams, putting us under the tutelage of outstanding and wonderful leaders from all fields and spheres, who let us know that there is a way, that our dreams are valid and that we could be whatever we wanted to be. These were done through extensive mentoring sessions held on a digital meeting platform. Through these sessions, we have been made to understand that the journey of leadership is a difficult one, with a plethora of challenges but more importantly, we were given the foundation, the guidelines and the strategies we could employ to make our efforts effective and wide reaching. So we say; thank you to our Daddy, Your Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and the entire team and a huge shoutout to my family, the Rochas Foundation. May the good Lord bless you all abundantly even as you have deemed it fit to be a blessing to others. We really appreciate you, for giving us ladders, so we can climb to greater heights! Hey guys, this feedback deserves to be celebrated…. Thank you for always being part of the Academy and we look forward to seeing you again, next week Thursday. #HappyWeekend to you, all! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT BEFORE YOU TRY! The terminal ELTAN debate competition unfolded at Epiphany Primary School, Eruwon, serving as the grand finale for the zonal champions in Ijebu North East LGA. Our learners, esteemed debators, delivered an impactful presentation that left everyone buzzing with conversations about the noteworthy points they put forward. The audience was genuinely surprised, considering the considerable distance we covered to reach the venue and our limited prior participation at this level. Despite falling short of securing the top spot, our learners' performance earned us a commendable third position. This accomplishment significantly placed St. John's Anglican Primary School, Idode, firmly in the memories of all present. We not only met but exceeded their expectations. Moving forward, my focus will center on bolstering their confidence and assertiveness through regular interclass and interschool debates. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: one doesn't need perfection to attempt something. Give it your best with your little ability and you'll be surprised at the result. #teachfornigeria #teachforall #courage #leadership #leadershipdevelopment

Promise Nwogu, between the ages of 11 and 18, would never have believed what Promise Nwogu, from the age of 21 to the present, has accomplished and is currently undertaking. This transformation took place during my preparations for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam. 🖊️Growing up, I never believed I had the qualities necessary to be a leader. I often shied away from leadership opportunities, even when my inner voice told me that I was capable. But everything changed during my extra-mural class. In a Calculus session, a teacher posed a question, as usually there were multiple answers, and I had an answer to this particular question. Fortunately, the teacher acknowledged my answer as correct and invited me to the front of the class to solve it. 🚀Now, here's where it gets interesting. My initial instinct was to decline the offer due to doubts and insecurities. Thoughts like 🤔 "What if my approach is wrong?" 🤔 "What if the class laughs at me if I make a mistake?" So many "what ifs" clouded my judgment. 💪I realized that this fear was a deficiency in my leadership skills, as I hesitated to stand up for what I believed was right. 🥲However, before I could decline the offer, a classmate sitting nearby asked for my notebook to go to the front and solve the problem on my behalf. While it may have appeared as a kind gesture, it bruised my ego as it felt condescending and insulting. The rest, as they say, is history. 🚀 Since that pivotal moment, I've led diverse teams comprised of individuals from different religions, ethnicities, countries, and even continents. I understand that I still have a long way to go in my leadership journey, which is why I'm incredibly grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the book "Dear Leader" by Dr. Sam Adeyemi. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Obinna Ukachukwu for this thoughtful gift. I eagerly anticipate harnessing the knowledge from this book to propel my professional career and contribute to the growth of African Youths in Energy Network. 🌟 #Leadership #LeadershipJourney #EnergyLeadership #Motivation #EffectiveCommunication #BreakingBarriers #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipSkills #ProfessionalGrowth #AfricanYouths #Empowerment 💪

LinkedIn Trainer & Growth Expert I Helping Professionals Boost Visibility, Attract Clients & Expand Network I Thought Leader I Influencer Marketing
Riphah International University's top management (Chancellor, VC, Regional Directors, Deans, etc.) all gathered for a two days session by the title Mission Moot. The objective of this is to assess their progress, identify challenges and sort out the way forward. The session's main focus is to evaluate what we have done to develop an institution that focuses on inculcating Islamic Ethical Values in its students. It is truly a marvelous spectacle to see all the top management assessing themselves and their actions. The executive director began to cry when he began his presentation because he acknowledged that the responsibility that he has on his shoulder from Allah as part of the leader of this organization is huge and he is falling short in that in many aspects. Currently, the picture that I have shared is that of a presentation on Islamic Leadership in Education which is being delivered by the regional director of Riphah International University Lahore Campus, Mr Umer Farooq. I don't say that the institution is perfect, but their intention and concern in this age despite numerous challenges is definitely unique and praiseworthy. May Allah give them strength and the ability to move forward with their vision and mission. This post is not meant to promote an institution in anyway, rather just to share an inspirational side of an institution. Credit: Mugheerah Luqman

African Studies, an interdisciplinary course, delves into the social, economic, and political features shaping Africa's trajectory. FOUR POINTS TO EMBRACE FOR MASTERY. 📌 Measure your progress and get outside feedback. 📌 Teach others what you are learning. 📌 Socialize your learning and efforts by practicing and competing with others. 📌 Continue setting higher level goals so that you keep improving. Succinctly, there are many more ways to mastery by thought leaders. However, the above points are crucial. Which of the points resonate with you in being productive for competence and why? 📷 REJOICE ODUCHE, she defended her Bsc Project title: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the Nigerian Finance Ministry 2003 - 2015 at the Department of History and International Studies, University of Nigeria. #Productive #Mastery #Competence
