🌍✨ Building the Next Generation of African Leaders – My Take on the African Leadership University 🎓🚀 Recently, while perusing the internet, I came across the The African Leadership University, an institution that's redefining education in Africa. What stood out for me? It's their mantra of "mission, not just majors" and their mission to unleash the potential of young Africans. It made me reflect on the incredible work of Fred Swaniker, who's been a driving force in transforming education across the continent. Here's a revelation – you don't need an MBA to start thinking like an entrepreneur or be recognized as one. We no longer have to pursue a college education for the sake of just having a degree or a major that doesn't resonate with our passion and purpose. The next decade in Africa is poised for a monumental shift – one that will be led by a new generation of passionate, purpose-driven individuals. Almost a decade ago, I couldn't even define what a startup was, and today, the African market is teeming with hundreds of startups. 🚀✨ I firmly believe initiatives like Astudentsdream can change mindsets and lead the charge in empowering young Africans to create impactful change. So, let's remember – it's not just about the degree; it's about our dreams, passion, and our role in shaping the future of our continent. The possibilities are boundless, and together, we'll script the story of Africa's success. 🌟🌍 #EducationRevolution #Entrepreneurship #AfricaRising

“Africa’s future will be largely determined by what we do today – the leaders we invest in, the communities we build, and the ecosystem we help to shape,” states Hatim Eltayeb, the CEO of African Leadership Academy, in a recent conversation with elea. The African Leadership Academy, an organization that elea has partnered with since 2022, is dedicated to reshaping Africa by developing a powerful network of young entrepreneurial leaders that will address the continent’s most significant challenges and create profound social change. We had the honor of engaging in a conversation with Hatim, where we discussed youth unemployment, explored the potential of the demographic dividend, and examined essential factors that are required to expedite the continent’s growth trajectory. “Entrepreneurship is an essential ingredient in Africa’s transformation,” was one of Hatim’s conclusion. This year has been an exhilarating journey, one that has ignited my passion for empowering youth and sculpting them into future entrepreneurs. As we navigate the complexities of our ever-evolving world, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible power that lies within the minds of the next generation. Mindset Matters!! Throughout this journey, I've been reminded time and again that mindset is the compass guiding every one of us towards success. Instilling a growth mindset—where challenges are seen as opportunities, and failures are viewed as stepping stones—is the key to unlocking their boundless potential. Our youth, armed with innovation, resilience, and an entrepreneurial spirit, are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the architects of tomorrow. The fresh perspectives of youth entrepreneurs bring about innovative solutions that are vital for addressing Africa's unique challenges. They are not afraid to #thinklikethereisnobox Reflecting on the path we've traveled together Johannesburg Business School (JBS) Abejide Ade-Ibijola University of Johannesburg, I am filled with an immense sense of fulfillment. Seeing the spark of inspiration in the eyes of young leaders, witnessing their transformative journeys, and being a part of their growth has been the greatest reward. As we nurture these entrepreneurial spirits, let's continue fostering an ecosystem that encourages curiosity, resilience, and the courage to dream big. Together, we are not just shaping leaders; we are cultivating the architects of Africa's brighter tomorrow. Here's to #elevating the youth, nurturing entrepreneurial leaders, and co-creating a future that's limitless! #YouthEmpowerment #EntrepreneurialLeadership #AfricaRising #FutureLeadership #thinklikethereisnobox

Marketing and Management at Curtin University ♠️ Curtin FBL Global High Achiever ♠️ YALI RLC SA Alumni ♠️ Phoenix Bev Marketing Trainee ♠️
🎓Dinners... skipped 🎓Family outings... skipped 🎓Group calls with friends... skipped. But it was all worth it at the end for I got through what I consider one of the toughest challenges I had to face till date. My journey of becoming a #YALI #Alumni entailed moments of learning, enrichment and most importantly, growth. Gratitude goes to my class Facilitator, Mr. Vali Issufo , who not only inspired, but encouraged me to keep going when I was at my lowest. Ranging from Human Centered Design Thinking, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship,to the Financial aspect of setting up a business, the Business and Entrepreneurship Track allowed for a holistic understanding of why certain businesses fail while others succeed. This programme has also enabled me to forge a network of like-minded and inspiring leaders from different parts of South Africa, on whom I could count throughout. Going through this experience while simultaneously studying my Bachelor's degree at Curtin University made me realise that no matter how difficult a situation is, what counts is to never give up. As goes one of my favorite sayings, "It always seems impossible until it is done." #Yalialumni #graduation
