Dear Job Seekers,
I'll never forget the soul-crushing feeling of getting that "Thanks, but no thanks" email after absolutely crushing what I thought was the perfect interview. I put hours into researching the company, crafting my best stories, and prepping like there was no tomorrow. So to be rejected stung like none other.
But you know what kept me going? The wise words from a good friend reminding me that a "NO" is often way more about factors beyond my control than any reflection on my abilities. Sometimes it's a last minute role change, budget cuts, or they already had an internal hire lined up from the start.
As long as I showed up authentically and brought my A-game, that's all I could ask of myself. No regrets. And let me tell you - staying persistent and refusing to let rejection drain my confidence made all the difference.
Your dream role that you're destined for is just around the corner. Here's what's kept me powering through:
1) Have a short memory - feel the feels, then flush it and focus on the next opportunity
2) Tap into your support system when you need reminders of your self worth
3) Document the high points from each interview where you nailed a tough question or told a compelling story - those are the skills to focus on showcasing again.
Keep your head held high and belief in yourself, because all it takes is that one "YES!" Landing your dream job is simply a numbers game, and your number is coming up soon!
Signed

1wIt’s mere formality dear. It’s as good as suggestion boxes in work places that are never serviced nor looked into They are mere decors just there to fulfill all righteousness. The day HR personnel begin to look into and utilize exit interview feedbacks they will realize that there are some boses that are cogs in the wheel of progress of their subordinates and the company. When some line Managers undo their subordinates they put it all on HR because some part of appraisals are closed. So HR takes all the blame. Let me just cap it here and have other views.
