Congratulations to UH Chief Financial Officer Bradley Bond, who was named to Crain's Cleveland Business 2024 list of Notables in Finance. According to Crain’s, the list “represents a wide swath of the financial sector, with active members in the worlds of banking and venture capital and investment firms. They come from every walk of life, from education to health care to nonprofits, and those on our list bring fiduciary leadership to their organizations. But, just as important, they spread their energy beyond, to their families and communities, with efforts that, in total, make them notable.”
Brad leads University Hospitals in all financial, treasury, insurance and managed care contracting services. According to Crain’s, Brad’s biggest career win was navigating the system through the Great Recession and the Covid-19 pandemic. During the COVID crisis, Brad maintained University Hospitals’ credit rating despite organization-wide supply chain issues and a workforce shortage. Crain’s also noted that Brad helped implement a health strategy that allocates hospital resources to areas of greatest need. Through this effort, University Hospitals invested $531 million in the community in 2022. Additionally, Crain’s goes on to note that Brad spent 15 years as board member for the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland and currently acts as vice chairman of the Medical Center Company, an enterprise that provides utility services to University Circle.
