For more than 15 years, we have embedded "Design for Reuse" into our company DNA. In 2008, led by Division Director Peter Stanway, we collaborated with a leading credit ratings company on a project with the circular economy at the heart of it. This initiative included: • Refurbishing 600 task chairs to 'as new' condition. • Reconfiguring and reusing 600 workstations, utilising all component parts. • Cleaning and reusing all conference seating. Today, our Design for Reuse approach is being utilised in over 60% of our 2024 projects, helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals in a manner that is both authentic and impactful. We recognise that reducing the global statistic of over 80% of furniture ending up in landfill each year is a significant challenge that cannot be resolved overnight. At Tsunami Axis, we are fully committed to doing our part to make a real difference. If you wish to learn more about what we are doing to support our clients ESG goals please get in touch.

🌐 Let's talk about the power of going circular by being modular! 🌐 The concept of the circular economy is all about reimagining the way we make and consume products. It's a sustainable approach that aims to minimise resource usage, cut waste, and reduce emissions. Why Modular Manufacturing Matters: Extended Product Lifespan: Modular product design allows us to extend the lifespan of our products, sometimes up to 20 years! By making components easily upgradeable and replaceable, we can ensure that our creations remain relevant and functional for a longer period. Reduced Waste: When it's time for a product to retire, modular design facilitates proper recycling. Instead of discarding the entire product, we can disassemble it, recycle individual components, and minimise the environmental impact. Our modular families: Our range of modular luminaire families includes the Energy Eries, Dot. Series, Urban Series Pro, and Industria. Elevate your experience with the option to include a 20-year warranty and exclusive care & protect packages. Ensure that these luminaires not only illuminate your spaces but also thrive for years to come! Let's challenge ourselves to think beyond the linear model of "take, make, dispose" and embrace the circular approach.🔄💚 Read our Sustainability Repot: https://lnkd.in/dF9Vc3cM #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #SustainabilityReport #ModularDesign #Innovation #EnvironmentalResponsibility

Did you know our modular wall systems are recyclable? We incorporate sustainable design into every aspect of our walls, from using gypsum (one of the most abundant – and recyclable – building materials on the planet) to construct our demountable panels to our ‘take back’ program where entire panels are returned to be re-manufactured or disassembled for recycling. SYMBIO is committed to doing our part in maintaining and improving the quality of the natural environment for all future generations through the implementation of sustainable design and manufacturing processes. 5th of September: Sustainable Tuesday in the Netherlands The first Tuesday of September is also known as Sustainable Tuesday in the Netherlands. Sustainable Tuesday shows that sustainability does not have to feel distant and unknown. Due to the recurring nature of this event, Sustainable Tuesday has already been able to help many innovative initiatives. We at CLS find sustainability a fundamental pillar in our business operations. That is why we offer our customers the following: - 15 years of support in repairing/upgrading our fixtures - We offer the possibility to return fixtures up to 25 years after purchase. We can reuse and recycle as much as possible. Apart from that, we also: - Limit our CO2 emissions by developing and producing in our factory in Wijchen. - We only keep parts in stock that we use during the runtime of a fixture, so we have no obsolete inventory or finished products. A better world starts with you, and we believe in that, too! Circularity and Sustainability aren’t actually interchangeable terms but they are related. While Sustainability is the end goal, Circularity is a step towards that end goal. Circularity is a practice which focuses on reducing waste as much as possible while keeping a product’s value intact for a longer period of time. This ensures the diminished production of goods which in turn helps reduce pollution and costs. In order to strive for a sustainable future, architects, planners, businesses and governments need to adapt to a circular economy where designs are rethought, policies developed, goods and raw materials are not discarded after use but rather renewed and refurbished to add increasing value; the end goal is sustaining the future with what is at present. My morning thoughts.
