Excellent New Year session this morning on "Scaling enthusiasm at work" with Duncan Wardley as part of the Talent and Leadership Club series. Some of my takeaways......respond with curiosity rather than judge.......continuous coaching is key........frame agendas around questions that need to be asked.....personalise purpose....and make changes to your role to make it more meaningful (jobcrafting).... here is a great example of that........#jobcrafting #learninganddevelopment https://lnkd.in/eriNeyfR

A Modern Tale: Leadership Insights from Airport Dynamics In the story of David and Goliath, David, a simple shepherd, defeats the giant Goliath with bravery and cleverness. Now, picture the busy scenes at an airport. There's a small vehicle called the pushback tug. It has a big job: guiding huge airplanes safely around the runways and terminals. It's like David facing Goliath but in an airport! Watching how the pushback tug works teaches us about leadership. Just like David used his slingshot smartly, the pushback tug uses its skills to handle the big airplanes. This is like good leaders who know how to use their team's talents well to get things done. Also, the pushback tug shows us the importance of working efficiently. Everything at the airport runs smoothly because of careful planning and teamwork. Good leaders do the same by making sure everyone knows their role and works together smoothly. Safety is a big deal too. Just like David was careful in his fight, good leaders make sure everyone stays safe. They create a workplace where people trust each other and feel safe to speak up if something's wrong. Lastly, the pushback tug keeps getting better at its job, just like good leaders encourage new ideas and improvements. They want their team to think creatively and try new things to solve problems. Thinking about this airport story, we can ask ourselves: How can we lead like David and the pushback tug? How can we use our strengths well, make sure everyone works smoothly and safely, and encourage new ideas to make things better? #Leadership #Aviation #Teamwork #Innovation #SafetyFirst #Efficiency #Inspiration #Management #WorkplaceCulture #ProblemSolving #Creativity #LeadershipDevelopment #Motivation #SuccessStories #BusinessInspiration
