On 1 January we commenced 2024 by opening our highly anticipated, first urban resort, One&Only One Za’abeel, Dubai. This dramatic piece of revolutionary design by world-renowned architects Nikken Sekkei and interiors by Denniston, has transformed the skyline of one of the most cosmopolitan metropolises in the world, redefining what it means to create an ultra-luxury hospitality experience in the heart of the city. We have reimagined the traditional horizontal resort into a vertical masterpiece, with all the hallmarks of a One&Only, including space, privacy, life, energy, and a state-of-the-art spa by Clinique La Prairie. We’ve introduced The Link, a futuristic boulevard and dining destination floating 100m above the city, home to an array of Michelin starred chefs including Anne-Sophie Pic, Paco Morales and Mehmet Gürs, and award-winning restaurant Bo.Lan. The culinary and entertainment experience at this resort is unrivalled, One&Only One Za’abeel is also home to StreetXO by Dabiz Muñoz, Indonesian restaurant Andaliman, nightlife venue Sphere and Tapasake, a vibrant Japanese Peruvian restaurant and pool club with the UAE’s longest infinity pool. This is a momentous opening for us, one we have been working collectively towards for many years, and I would like to thank everyone that has been involved along the journey in bringing such an ambitious concept to life. I extend my sincere gratitude to the owners , for their support and shared vision to create such a unique and inspiring destination. Congratulations to General Manager Jan Tibaldi and the entire One&Only One Za’abeel team on a successful opening. This sets the tone for our year ahead, as Kerzner International continues to defy conventions and create unrivalled experiences.

After a long and exciting day out in the streets of Tokyo, the last thing you want from a cozy hot bath is to gaze into a matte mirror covered with condensation. However, at the Tokyu Stay Hotel Ginza, their thoughtful service ensures that guests can see even the finest hair in their nostril the moment they step out of the bathtub and look into the mirror. The application of anti-fog treatment on the mirrors speaks volumes about their commitment to detail-oriented hospitality. Note: A few days later, I discovered something else. Ever wonder what goes on behind the gilded doors of the world's most luxurious hotels? Let's dive into the not-so-ordinary life of a butler at the Raffles Hotel Singapore, where the definition of service is anything but standard. Imagine memorizing how a guest sleeps or sourcing toilet paper in their favorite color. Yes, it's all in a day's work for the team at Raffles, where luxury meets a level of personalized service that would make even the royals blush. From arranging impossible-to-get Michelin meals to sourcing bright red PiqaBoo pears from New Zealand, these butlers redefine the meaning of 'above and beyond.' But it's not just about fulfilling whims; it's the art of anticipation. The staff at Raffles have mastered the craft of understanding guests' needs before they even articulate them. Think of it as the hospitality version of mind-reading, powered by diligent observation and a dash of Google-fu. Moreover, the clientele's spending power is nothing short of staggering, with Asian power spenders outdoing their American counterparts by a factor of 10. \ From S$300 shark fin soup to S$200,000 handbags, the tales of extravagance are as endless as they are eye-watering. But let's not forget the heart of Raffles' service—the personal touch. Whether it's ensuring a left-handed guest has the perfect seat at the table or sourcing a specific brand of Indonesian Coca-Cola, the small details make the biggest impact. 🏨 Crafting Luxurious F&B Experiences in Bali: Beyond the Hotel's Walls 🍽️🍸 Greetings, #LinkedInFam and Hospitality Leaders! Bali, known for its mesmerizing beaches, lush landscapes, and rich culture, offers an unparalleled backdrop for hospitality ventures. However, in this luxury segment, simply having an upscale hotel is no longer enough. The true differentiator? Exceptional restaurant and bar concepts that not only complement the hotel but can proudly stand alone as must-visit destinations. 🍴 Understanding Trends & Bali's Unique Charm: In the world of luxury dining, it's not just about food; it's an experience. Embracing global culinary trends while intertwining Bali's rich gastronomic heritage creates a tapestry of flavors and memories. Think of contemporary takes on traditional Balinese dishes or bars infusing local herbs and ingredients into their cocktails. 🌅 Harmonizing with Bali's Essence: Imagine a cliff-side restaurant offering panoramic ocean views or a bar where the gentle sound of waves enhances every sip. Crafting venues that capture the island's beauty while offering a unique luxury edge will undoubtedly leave an imprint on every visitor's soul. 👩🍳 Selecting the Right Team: In the luxury segment, every detail matters. Having a team that not only possesses unmatched skills but also embodies the spirit and passion of Bali can make all the difference. The essence of the island should reverberate through every dish served and every drink poured. 🔍 The Standalone Perspective: While these F&B ventures elevate a hotel's appeal, viewing them as standalone businesses is transformative. It drives innovation, pushes for higher standards, and ensures the restaurant or bar becomes a destination in its own right, attracting both hotel guests and external patrons. In sum, while a luxury hotel in Bali offers a slice of paradise, exceptional F&B venues add the magic touch, making every visit unforgettable. As we craft these experiences, we're not just promoting luxury; we're celebrating Bali in its most sumptuous form. What are your favorite luxurious F&B concepts in Bali or elsewhere? Let's share and inspire! #BaliLuxury #FandBExcellence #BeyondTheHotel #Hotelmanagement #Bali

Less is more when executed with purpose
Sometimes, less is more. A sense of luxury can be represented in a simple bowl of tangerines when it is neatly and thoughtfully presented. The welcome amenity at Capella Hanoi is almost too beautiful to eat and it's accompanied by a story about the local tradition of the fruit warding off bad luck. #forbestravelguide #hospitality #hospitalityindustry #hotels #hotelsandresorts #serviceexcellence #servicematters #hospitalitytraining
