France is the more 'distributive' country in the world with more than 43% of the GDP lawned from tax payers and companies to be redistributed for the good of all, paying for defense, schools, health services etc . Income tax represents about 10% of these 43% The failing point is that 10% of the people pay half of this amount. At the same time 50% do not pay a single penny ! How can you seriously govern a country like this ? Half of the population believe everything shall be free and it's never enough. 10% are dreaming at night how they can escape spoliation, leaving the last 40% prisoners of their fate of being born in the wrong country from a fiscal perspective. I know where I stand... and I know where I am going. Hasta la proxima :)

I hate seeing Britain in decline but today was another reminder that thats exactly what we are sleep walking through. It’s death by a thousand cuts for sure and so maybe less noticeable but it’s a managed decline nonetheless. A 2pc tax cut for all the wrong reasons will barely scratch the surface of what the economy structurally needs right now and certainly won’t fulfill its intention as a de facto bribe to the conservative heartlands. With that said I’ve spent mine already and thanks nonetheless. Clearly the big news today were the pervasive changes to the non domiciled regime - I’m going to be talking a lot about this with clients and contacts and more publicly in the coming days and week. Suffice to say the Conservatives were backed into a corner where they couldn’t win whatever they did. What they have done is pitch the focus of vested interests infinance, trust, intermediary and wealthy non dom business owners against the Opposition prior to April 2025. At their peak, the Conservatives couldn’t resist those interests - so I doubt the shambles of this Labour Party will either. I’m sceptical as to whether some of the provisions will be enacted come April 2025 particularly around trusts. Last year we spoke of Switzerland and Singapore but there was none of that today. This was about shutting up shop and passing the buck to the next guy. None of the above is a surprise but just occasionally I like to be surprised to the upside.

“Having my broadband is my only means of communication with the outside world" We know how important broadband can be in staying connected, accessing services and more. But we also know that it's another cost that can feel like it's rising. We're calling on the Government to provide consumers with greater consistency across support such as social tariffs:

This is amazing news to share! Newly elected Argentinean President Javier Milei announces the first quarterly budget surplus in 20 years — exemplifying his implimentation of economic policies and cutting excessive budget expenditures (dare I say associated with cronyism and patronage). It is a great start to his term and a life raft floating to economic prosperity for the people of Argentina. Viva La Libertad!
