🚧 Major Construction Alert at JFK International! 🚧 Heads up, travelers! New York City's busiest airport is about to undergo a $19 billion transformation, and things are going to get worse before they get better. Expect major traffic disruptions this summer as construction kicks into high gear. 🛠️ “There’s no sugarcoating it. Building a new airport while maintaining full flight operations won’t come without impacts,” says Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. But the end result will be worth it—a world-class airport for decades to come. 🌟 What You Need to Know: Use the AirTrain from Jamaica or Howard Beach to avoid traffic. It connects to Grand Central, Penn Station, and Atlantic Terminal. For pickups, wait in the cell phone lots until passengers are outside the terminal. Drop-off and pick-up at the Lefferts Blvd AirTrain stop—just an 8-minute ride to the terminals. Pre-book your parking at JFKAirport.com. While it's a bit of a hassle now, the future brings two new international terminals, expanded and modernized terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a revamped roadway network. Plan ahead, stay patient, and look forward to a brand-new JFK! ✈️ #travelindustry #traveladvisor #travelagent #jfk #airline

Peoria is considering building an airport complex to boost the economy. A study suggests this 220-acre complex could bring significant benefits: $1 billion in annual economic impact, $60 million in yearly tax revenue, and creation of 8,000 jobs. The estimated construction cost is $150 million. Similar to Scottsdale Airpark, Peoria Airpark would handle private jets and smaller planes, not big commercial airlines or cargo carriers. The study predicts that initially the airport could house 80 aircrafts, growing to 217 within two decades. #Construction #Airport #Taxes

CHICAGO- United (UA) and American Airlines (AA) expressed their support for the plan proposed by the Chicago city earlier in April to alter the construction sequence for a new Global Terminal and two adjacent satellite concourses at O'Hare Airport (ORD). Initially, the plan prioritized the construction of the two satellite concourses, which would have provided additional gate space for airlines. #AmericanAirlines #AmericanAirlinesChicagoExpansion #AmericanAirlinesChicagoRevamp #AmericanUnitedSignsChicagoRevamp #CHICAGOAIRPORT #ChicagoOhare$85BillionRevampPlan #ChicagoOHareAirport #ChicagoOhareRevampPlan #UnitedAirlines #UnitedAirlinesChicagoExpansion #UnitedAirlinesChicagoRevamp #UnitedandAmericanChicagoRevamp

A #BizAv building boom in New York led by The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Sky Harbour Group is a welcome development for private aviation in the metropolitan region adding much-needed aircraft shelter space to what is one of busiest airspaces in the country. Contention for hangar space is a perfect analogy of what happens to inflight Wi-Fi above this busy region -- when too many users have to share the same Wi-Fi bandwidth, the space is jammed leaving some with limited or no capacity. In Wi-Fi terms, this equates to increased latency, lag and being disconnected. Not so with SmartSky. Our patented beamforming technology assigns each plane a separate connection so there is no so there's no signal sharing with other aircraft. Unlike other ATG, this means continuous connections over the busiest airspace – even while waiting to land. Read more about how SmartSky solves the Wi-Fi "contention" issue here: https://lnkd.in/esEVqtbp #businessaviation #contention #latency #privatejet #atg #connectivity
