Medical devices are critical for providing quality care to patients, but a new report from Claroty highlights a concerning issue. The report found that 23% of medical devices have at least one known exploited vulnerability, and only 13% support endpoint protection agents. This is particularly problematic since medical devices are often replaced on a component failure schedule, rather than based on cybersecurity concerns. It's clear that more needs to be done to ensure the security of these devices and protect patient data. Stay informed and vigilant in the fight against cyber threats in the healthcare industry.

Surrounded by medical professionals, I often discuss how malicious actors are increasingly targeting the healthcare industry. Why healthcare and not banks? Well, they do... in fact, they make the most attempts against the financial sector. However, if malicious actors are at all human, they'll follow the path of least resistance. As shown by Blackberry's latest 90-day cybersecurity report, you will see that the financial sector stopped almost TWICE as many attacks. That said, the report states that the healthcare industry faced more unique malware hashes than any other industry, suggesting more targeted campaigns. https://lnkd.in/gJRnPq_s
