September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month and SafelyYou is continuing to help create a #CultureOfFallPrevention, so senior living communities are not only responding quickly to falls, but also moving to a mindset of proactively mitigating fall risk for residents. It means falls are reduced, safety is increased, and outcomes are improved.
To recognize this month, we’ll be sharing our top tips for fall prevention—developed from our clinicians’ analysis of over 100k fall incidents—to support communities. And we’ll be highlighting the impact falls have on those with cognitive impairment, who fall twice as often as those without, about 4 times a year. We’ll be asking anyone who has been impacted by falls, either directly or because of a loved one, to share their story with us.
For each story shared, we’ll make a $50 donation to the Alzheimer’s Association to support care and research, with a goal of $1,000.
