This past Friday our breakfast club was visited by Ted Southern, Division Manager of the Space Suits and Softgoods Division at Paragon Space Development Corporation. He has worked in the space suit industry for more than 12 years, and his is a fascinating story about the intersection of art and science that has resulted in some of the most impressive advancements in spacesuit design. From designing costumes for operas, ballets, and even Victoria’s Secret shows, Ted eventually won the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Astronaut Glove Competition, and since then has served as the Principal Investigator on numerous NASA suit contracts including SBIRs, STTRs, Space Act Agreements, and Fixed Price Contracts for NASA’s HPEG and xEMU programs, as well as a successful acquisition of FFD by Paragon. This just goes to show that you never know what types of twists and turns your career will take and how seemingly unrelated interests can have an impact on an entire industry. Hi Network, Find below safety advice from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration regarding tomorrow's solar eclipse: "Except during the brief total phase of a total solar eclipse, when the Moon completely blocks the Sun’s bright face, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing. Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury. When watching the partial phases of the solar eclipse directly with your eyes, which happens before and after totality, you must look through safe solar viewing glasses (“eclipse glasses”) or a safe handheld solar viewer at all times. You can also use an indirect viewing method, such as a pinhole projector." ***Note that a total solar eclipse moves across North America traveling through Mexico, across the United States from Texas to Maine, and across Canada’s Atlantic coast.** NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration 😉

I would like to share that I finished another course made by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and Arizona State University 🎖 . The Process and Lifetime of a Space Mission course tells the story of a team creating a NASA robotic space mission. A typical space mission encompasses much more than reaching a destination and sending discoveries! As a participant in this course, I learned and practiced elements of the process and lifecycle of a space mission, from conception to flight. Aspects of the tender preparation and submission processes, team building, design, construction, modeling, testing, launching, tracking, and data collection and analysis are covered.

Brant Hindman Phnam Bagley our ability to support ML backed pre-viz using ‘HoloMorphic interpreters’ at any scale while making dynamic, IRT analysis possible could be useful as we see objects in 4D space first using (holonomic geometric unity), then reduce them to 3D models, as opposed to scanning systems which by design sense 2D first and only then can run their models as 3D considerations (very inefficient with high error rate at precision scales, prone to bottlenecks, etc). We are happy to demonstrate the differences these processes offer in high-risk, mission-critical scenarios.
