Invasive Tech...do the machines at your school do this too? Interesting article on my Yahoo feed under "Futurism" by #FrankLandymore about the camera tech in vending machines. What was also incredibly interesting was the comments section, which devolved into two (of many) fascinating categories for me: 1. How other tech is invasive and keeps our data - like photocopiers - and that we are being 'big brothered like Orwell's 1984' 2. What to do about it. From sledgehammers to epoxy on the camera lenses! LOL No, I am not a fan of hammers on machines nor of epoxy on lenses either - that is illegal and wrong. But it made me laugh! How is this relevant to schools? If you have vending machines, do they have cameras. Check this. If they do, then ensure the company either replaces the machines or covers the cameras. Make this a FIRM demand. Not an 'ask'. There are companies that will gladly serve your clients - students, staff, parents - with food and drinks with camera-less machines. Just my 2 cents. https://lnkd.in/dvSdCuJk?

Who says mixing electricity and water isn't fun!?! Your typical vending machine today is built to make buying products easy from anywhere ... ... But what about under water? That's exactly what the Airheads "Underwater Vending Machine" aims to do. Announced last week, this first-of-its-kind vending machine shoots out torpedoes of Airheads candy. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Swimmers pay for their candy with "fun" — underwater activities like: 🤸♂️ Doing a flip ️ ☕ Having a tea party  🤖 Dancing the robot Once the vending machine "detects fun," it shoots Airheads taffy out its "Projectile Candy Hatch." The smart vending machine seeks to get adults back in the water. According to the "Airheads Summer" website, only a few of the vending machines were produced. All of them come with a lifetime supply of Airheads. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲: $7,000. (Don't get too excited. They're sold out.) 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 1. How do you restock these things? 2. How are they powered? 3.
