The investment committee at the $94 billion State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) has narrowly voted to block bonuses to investment staff. Lynn Hoover, CPA, acting executive director, stressed the risks of not rewarding investment performance. She noted that 69 of Ohio STRS’s 108 investment staff are eligible for incentive pay, which is currently below peer funds.
