Entrepreneur, business consultant, author, and keynote speaker with a passion for helping businesses scale with sanity to achieve exponential growth.

This is where 99 percent of us begin as entrepreneurs: Maybe you’re a hairdresser and you’ve worked at a salon for a long time. Everyone tells you what an amazing stylist you are. You’re talented, and you’re passionate about your work. Eventually you start to think to yourself, maybe I don’t need the salon owner or a boss. I’m making my boss so much money, maybe I could just do this for myself. I could open my own salon! You suggest this to your family, friends, and clients, and they all tell you it’s a great idea, or they think you’re crazy. They believe in you, which is wonderful. So you jump in full force and go for it. Instantly, you’re a technician or what I call “wearing the apron”. It’s when you do everything - style every customer’s hair, book appointments and even invoice them. 5 years later, you’re still wearing an apron which is amazing, but it doesn’t help your business scale. My advice is simple: take that apron off. - Start by training and delegating work to your employees. - Create systems so decisions can be made in your absence. - Trust the system and your employees in your journey.  #Entrepreneurship #BusinessSuccess #BusinessScaling #Leadership #Delegation #Mindset #Entrepreneurs #Startup #Business #businessScale #LifeLessons #PersonalStory #Growth #Motivation #Employees #Culture #Systems

Well said, couldn’t agree more. Took me 28 years to take off the apron. Wish I would’ve done it sooner!

I remember we were on a break out back. Chelsea told you I was thinking about starting a business and asked you if you had any advice for me. Your response was “I read a lot”. Great advice and would love to hear more about it.
