Fascinating research from Tom Rathbone and the team at PartnerCentric, Inc. While Google is slashing affiliate SEO, Bing is sneakily monetising website visitors through their sub-affiliate network partners. What's going on with search engines and affiliate marketing at the moment? While managing a client’s affiliate programme, PartnerCentric discovered an anomaly in Bing’s SERP that "turned a seemingly benign search for their brick-and-mortar location into an affiliate-sponsored result." Closer inspection revealed that this was actually a Bing affiliate link, which leads to the question: Are search engines getting paid to deliver organic results? Nº 1 Reason Google Ads accounts fail: Not tracking conversions/tracking the wrong conversion. Besides having well-structured Primary and Secondary Conversions, you have to be careful with account-level conversions. So before launching a campaign, make sure the conversion you've specifically set for that Ad can be completed on the landing page you're sending your lead. If you have "form submission" set up as a conversion send them to the page that contains the form, if you've got "purchase" conversion set up send them to a product page...etc. #googleads #ppc #sea #sem
