New Adventures… After nearly 14 years at KKR, the time has come for a new chapter. I've decided to take a break and prioritize time with my family. I’m grateful for this opportunity to recharge and decide what chapter to write next. To my amazing team, advisors, and partners: thank you for being part of an extraordinary journey. Together, we built an industry-leading platform unique in Private Equity and helped hundreds of deal teams and portfolio companies along the way. As for what lies ahead, I look forward to spending time with my wife and three children (ages 13, 11, and 8) and being fully present; not just physically there but mentally present - without distractions and stress from work. I’ve already started to see a meaningful impact and can’t wait to create more lasting memories with my kids…while they still think Dad is (sort of) cool. I’ve also agreed to stay on as a Senior Advisor at KKR to assist with any complex situations that might arise and provide continuity. As for what the future holds for work, I’m excited to be a free agent and have conversations about Private Equity and Insurance. I continue to believe PE firms and their portfolio companies are under-served and need help navigating the complex and opaque insurance world. I look forward to leveraging 20 years of experience working inside a PE firm and building industry-leading programs. I’m forever grateful to KKR and the amazing leadership at the Firm and for the many friendships, learning experiences, and memories made along the way. Here's to new adventures ahead! #Gratitude #NewAdventures

Evolving Purpose: A Reflection on My 28 years Journey in Financial Services Greetings LinkedIn family! 👋 During a recent trip to my hometown, I found myself standing in the shop house where my parents and I once toiled together in their life insurance agency business. This nostalgic visit sparked profound reflections on who I am and why I've chosen the path I walk. From 1996 to 2000, I played a pivotal role in building my father's life insurance business until a merger reshaped our trajectory. My father, a stalwart entrepreneur who initiated this venture in 1975, held onto his contract until his final days in 2020. In 2001, armed with the knowledge gained from completing my ChFC course, I set forth into the realm of independent financial advisory. The pivotal moment came in 1998 at the #MDRT annual meeting in Chicago, where insights from U.S. and U.K. financial planners fueled my inspiration for financial planning. Fast forward to 2024, I find myself in the Global Financial Center, contributing to Singapore's #LargestIFA firm, marking the 28th year since I started this journey with my parents and the 15th year in Singapore. The question haunting me: Has my #WHY and #Purpose remained steadfast since 1996 when I embarked on this journey? I've concluded that my BIG WHY remains unaltered - 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀, 𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. In 1996, my WHY was to assist my parents in running their agency, envisioning a worry-free retirement for them. In 2024, my WHY (To Serve) has expanded: ✴ To serve my organization by constructing a robust platform for our consultants. ✴ To serve consultants by fostering opportunities through digital marketing and business development initiatives. ✴ To serve leaders in my organization by cultivating a formidable team. ✴ To serve my team members in their career advancement. All these elements converge to serve our clients, ensuring they benefit from the quality and purposeful services provided by our financial consultants. Here's to an ever-evolving purpose and a continued commitment to serving the dreams of others! 🚀 🔍What is your BIG WHY that drives you? At Accelerant, we're on a mission to revolutionize insurance. In our Employee Perspectives series, we spotlight the people driving this change. Meet Ryan Schiller, our Head of Strategy. Ryan joined the team in January 2021 and has played a pivotal role in capital raising and M&A. He lives in Seattle with his wife, many green plants, and their Prius, affectionately named 'The Beast.' Ryan’s skill set is vast both in the office and in life — he once sang backup for John Mayer! He is excited about the future of insurance, especially the trend towards more specialized underwriting, which he believes favors the smaller players and benefits policyholders. When not at work, Ryan enjoys hiking, backpacking, and serenading his wife in the kitchen. His best advice? "There will never be a better time to take a good risk than now." || NEW BLOG || "Let’s face it, the majority of annual letters to shareholders of publicly traded companies are not worth much. They often serve us a rehash, formulas concocted by public relations firms which aim to promote the concerned company’s stock with big slaps on the back. Personally, I want to read letters that will teach me more about the company I own or that I am considering in my investments. I not only want to know what is going well, but above all, I want to know what is going less well, what are the challenges to overcome, the risks to consider. Basically, I want the truth! Isn’t that what any business owner would demand from their leaders?" Philippe Le Blanc, MBA, CFA's new weekly blog - Between The Lines - is available right here : #COTE100 #BetweenTheLineBlog #Markel
