I’m delighted to share that I’ve just begun a new position as Clinical Supervisor at Multicare Behavioral Health's PACT program in Pierce County! Super excited to be joining this amazing team and organization, as well as supporting this established, evidenced-based approach to empowering community members with severe and persistent mental illness to live more independent, fulfilling lives, fueled by their own hopes and dreams. The fact that this role and program also includes the ongoing opportunity to draw on the expertise of the UW SPIRIT Lab team is icing on the cake 😃

It’s almost 25 years since I had the blessing of both studying and working under the guidance of Dr. Mary Hulnick who, along with her husband, Dr. Ron Hulnick, has been a lifelong pioneer in the field of Spiritual Psychology. For me, her words continue to be an alchemist’s blend of invitation, challenge, calling, and inspiration.

When will we learn that denying people access to medical care is the most expensive choice available?? Aside from being immoral.

Some words still resonate through the decades ... perhaps now more than ever. Almost always there is room for the dominant culture to take more ownership of learning, growing, and, where invited, allyship. For any organizational leader, the questions include are how, when, what, and who? And can an organziation tolerate the work being done? This work is not a seasonal response to the latest tragedy; it is ongoing, rigorous, bold, and humbling.
