Top Employer Africa Awards 2024: A Glimpse of Remarkable Experience February 16th marked an extraordinary event in the African corporate world - the Top Employer Africa Award ceremony. The occasion witnessed the celebration of over 130 companies, all having excelled in one of the most important aspects of any organization - employee-centricity. It was an honor to be a part of such a grand event, to be immersed in a sea of individuals whose primary motivation is to build an environment where employees can flourish. It fills my heart with immense pride to work for an organization that holds this ethos close to its core values. My employer, JTI Leaf Zambia Limited, doesn't merely hold the title of a 'Top Employer'. It has gone beyond and has been recognized as the number 1 Top Employer in Zambia. This achievement is a testament to the commitment that JTI has towards its employees and their growth. Although the entire event was memorable, one particular segment stood out. It was the keynote address by Dr. Sooliman, the founder of the Gift of the Givers. This man, with his humble demeanor, managed to hold the rapt attention of a room filled with over 50,000 individuals. The wisdom he shared during his speech was inspiring and enlightening, to say the least. Dr. Sooliman's words struck a chord with me, particularly his emphasis on the significance of giving back without expecting anything in return. This noble thought resonated with me and made me realize how crucial it is to be selfless in our actions. Another important lesson I learned from his speech was the importance of active listening and the power of transforming words into action #topemployer2024.
