If you are not familiar with tianeptine, you should know that it is easily accessible in most states under brand names like Tianaa, Neptune’s Fix, and more. Use of tianeptine alone or in combination with other substances or prescription drugs can complicate patient management and increase their risk of drug interactions and harm. Tianeptine’s activity at opioid receptors helped it gain its nickname of “gas station heroin.”
Testing for tianeptine in the healthcare setting can help with educating patients, as they may not voluntarily report use, and it can also help inform treatment decisions.
