Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP) is hiring a Volunteer Maryland (VM) AmeriCorps Member to help develop, implement, and scale BCRP's Volunteer program! The Volunteer Maryland AmeriCorps Member will aim to recruit volunteers who will be a part of BCRP's recreation programs, Weed Warrior non-native invasive plant management program, youth development programs, BCRP special events, and general park stewardship projects. Past VM AmeriCorps members have worked with BCRP to develop job descriptions, recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events such as AFRAM and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournament, as well as for smaller scale park clean-up events. Other volunteers have worked to develop, update, and implement BCRP’s volunteer policies, processes, and procedures.
