Unfortunately I was one of 12,000 employees laid off from #google today. It was gut wrenching especially being pregnant with twins but I am super grateful for my time there and the amazing people I got to meet. I will not be looking for work until they are born, but just wanted to post this so any candidates I am working with are aware I am no longer there. Good luck to all of us looking for work in this market. ❤️

Hi Tiffany! Another twin parent here! Make sure you check out twins by the bay. You can get a lot of twin stuff for free or cheap. That should help the transition.

Hey Tiffany - I'm so sorry today's layoffs impacted you, especially during what's supposed to be such an exciting time for you. I was laid off at 6 months pregnant in 2020 and remember how awful it felt, but it turned out to be a blessing. I'm sending you lots of hugs. Please let me know if you need a listening ear or if there's anybody in my network that I can connect you with once the twins have arrived and you begin your search.

I can relate in the same position having gone thru this month 1/2 ago while on vacation. However, while it sucks, it can be a blessing in disguise. Sounds like you have something precious to look forward to. So trust that it will all work out. Good Luck

That’s Bull. Google and all other tech companies should be ashamed and embarrassed to layoff in mass like this, poor projections and poor planning… (YES, I said it!!) Sending you virtual support throughout the rest of your pregnancy.

I was also laid off when I was 7 months pregnant. (Although many years ago and making $12/hr living paycheck to paycheck ). I only had one little human but not having a job was incredibly sad. Fortunately, I found temporary work and was lucky to receive a job offer literally the week I was pulled out of work. They waited 8 weeks for my postpartum recovery. Then I started working there full time after I was cleared to work. Sometimes curve balls are thrown but we find strength and resilience to push through those difficult challenges. My heart goes out to you. I hope you stay positive and healthy for you and your little ones. You have survived 100% of the previous challenges, and I know you can overcome this one. ❤️ You got this mama.

I can’t imagine how this news must have felt. When one day at a time feels like too much, take it one hour at a time. This is a difficult season, though take heart in knowing that you are doing the most important job there is by taking care of yourself and the two beautiful people you will welcome to this world soon. It can’t be said enough from one new mom to another, you’ve got this and I’ve got you 💜

I wish you nothing but the best in the search for your next great opportunity when the time comes. My personal experience has been that every event that took me out of my career comfort zone led to a much better opportunity. Hold onto the faith that the same will happen for you. In the interim, congratulations on the twins and enjoy every minute with them. They will be your greatest legacy, regardless of what happens in your career.
