When you give, even in small ways, it’s not just good for the recipient — it can transform your life as well.
It's weird that kindness and generosity should come from discipline rather than disposition..isn't it? We say "do at least one small act of kindness a day" like it's a sacrifice. So start small and be consistent. Like going to the gym or sticking to a diet. I find it so weird and honestly discouraging. Shouldn't we say...instead... try having an open heart at all times? Be a source of good and inspiration for others as much as you can? Instead of saying do at least one small act of kindness to others each day, and you will see the benefits FOR YOURSELF. This is kindness through the wrong lenses. If we treat generosity as a burden, it's no wonder it becomes so rare.
I had a lady offer to help my friend & I when were leaving an establishment this last weekend. My friend uses a walking cane and I recently had knee replacement surgery a few months ago. So having someone offer to hold the door open for us made our day. It was a small gesture on her part but made me feel good inside! I am always appreciative when this happens and do the same when I am out running errands.
Not only does it develop your awareness, your character, but many other things in a subtle way. My personal mission statement is to do the most constructive thing I can at any given moment. Sometimes it's hard and you need to keep quiet with difficult stuck people and move away as quickly as possible. Kind actions, no matter how small, are having an impact you will never know about, but making a difference in the right direction. It is just about being humane and being more and giving more of yourself. Not a big ask.
I needed a new pair of walking shoes cuz walk to n from the bus stops sometimes takes 20 minutes in the hot humid 100 degrees, a week before got a small ice maker shared much-needed large cups of ice with my group home roomies n staff workers. Today a staff worker gave me a brand new pair of walking shoes, she is a tough cookie runs a tight ship. I was so thrilled to get the much needed sneakers 👟. She said cuz I gave her ice 🧊 for several days while she has to work outside I was gifted these wonderful pair of walking shoes. Was not expecting anything back for the free ice I was giving. 😁
Just be kind and treat others as you would like to be treated. It's that simple
So true, it feels nice, positive and emotionally genuine when I see the results of my little choices.Being nice can be ecstacticly contagious and we want everyone to get this good virus of infectious niceness, positive interactional moments and when you feel good, guess what so I and I want to keep it going with all of those who come into my light. Larry in CT. Thanks Arianna and family, for sharing. Love the words, thoughts, deeds and examples. LCS
Imagine if only a fraction of people did this every day how much nicer the world would be 💙🫶🏼
Kindness heals the world one person at a time ! Being kind is just one way to touch the heart of humankind and spread a vibration of love throughout the world. This frequency is contagious . It only requires you to add a helping hand, a smile a thought or desire to help someone shine in the light, this day!
Acts of kindness have a ripple effect that can change the world. Thank you for spreading positivity!
