Our latest video in partnership with rugby legend, Jonny Wilkinson, sees Jonny discussing living in the now and being fully present in life. He explains that your past doesn’t define or create your future; it is who you choose to be now that’s important. Living in the now allows you to welcome life’s challenges and look at the unknown as a positive opportunity rather than something to be feared. The experiences of our past help us create the possibilities of our future. At Attivo, we encourage our clients to consider what matters most to them today, to enable them to live in the present. What kind of life do you want to have? How can we help you achieve this? We pride ourselves on taking a Life Plan First approach to lifestyle financial planning, and take the time to fully understand your goals. Is now the time to start a conversation? ONE. MILLION. REASONS. 💙💛 I got the chance over the last few days to ask some runners, the reason they were running Boston this year. Their reasons? Nothing short of inspiring. Running is grounded in community, something that Boston knows well. Thousands lined the streets from Hopkinton to Boston, cheering on the runners who were chasing the illusive unicorn. 🦄 They see the determination. They see the grit. They see the blood, sweat and tears left on the course. But what they don’t see, is the reasons these runners chose to run this race. Running as a sport, and as a discipline, is often juxtaposed with business and the professional world. And it’s obvious why: we see the effort. We see the growth. We see the trials and tribulations. But do we see the why? ONE DAY. ONE RACE. ONE MILLION REASONS. WHAT’S YOURS? Thankful to have the ability to have captured some of these amazing moments, and to be able to share them with the world. https://lnkd.in/eBn4xEDE

Balancing risk. Straight-talking, free thinking, creative do-er with a track record of high performance. Anti rank & anti woke, tired of group think. Strengths: Achiever | Connectedness | Strategic | Learner | Command.
This post, its previous and subsequent this week are about #selfbelief and the #power of a positive mindset. …..So, following on from my previous post, then came the days of recovery and some of doubt. I had to be very careful and focused with my recovery time, it was so sparse; I had less than a week until I needed to be back on the toboggan. Importantly had to be effective at work… but doubts crept in… Am I too old for this I thought? Am I setting my kids a bad example? Should I really afford to do this? Are my ambitions too ambitious? Are my reactions fast enough? Will my eyesight and eye focus come back properly. It’s funny what one’s brain does when it’s in negativity…. But strength and fight returned mentally and physically as I became increasingly determined to turn negatives into #positives…I did some ‘wholesome’ out door normal ‘stuff’ with an increasingly clear head, and my focus started to return with my balance. I concentrated on keeping peace in my soul, read ‘The Desiderata’ and ‘If’ on numerous occasions and grew inner confidence. I started to think of the positives: A new membership to the Thoma Club (and an fab lunch) was a result of the fall, at least I had the video, and the @telegraphwomeninsport and The Telegraph thought it was cool enough to include in their article pasted below…which I sincerely hope will encourage #womeninsport to ride. Its amazing how a knock on the head can put things into perspective because I started not to give a hoot about trivial first world problems. That’s then the magic started to happen… un expected people from un expected places started to reach out and people were kind. I was curious to see what riding the Run would be like again… More to follow!

Exploring the intersection of leadership and leisure, we spotlight Lester Tay, Chief Executive Officer of Rockstead Capital, and his journey with golf, revealing the sport's impact on his life and work. 🏌️How did you get started in golf, and what drew you to the sport? Lester: I was introduced to the game in 2008 by my wife, who wanted to have a common hobby between us. It quickly became evident that she was the superior golfer, which introduced a playful competitive element to our relationship. 🌟 Are there any golfers or golfing moments that inspire you? Lester: The 2008 US Open, where Tiger Woods triumphed over Rocco Mediate amidst a knee injury, is a profound source of inspiration for me. Woods' determination and resilience through 91 holes encapsulated the spirit of the sport, leaving a lasting impact on me. 🏡 What role does golf play in your personal life outside of work? Lester: Golf has evolved into a significant social conduit in my life, bridging connections across my personal and professional circles. It's a universal language that, akin to music, unites people with its global appeal. 💡 Can you share any insights from your personal golf experiences that have shaped your approach to problem-solving or decision-making in the business world? Lester: Golf teaches one to accept what they cannot control. Golf also demands one to be honest with oneself. Overall, it has helped me to be patient and not take excessive risks in life, as the next big shot may be better off with a humble lay-up. But let’s be honest, we play golf simply because we love the game, and anything to praise the game is merely a poor attempt to justify time away from family and work. Lester's experiences with golf reveal a game that not only challenges but also enriches, offering valuable lessons that resonate in both the boardroom and on the greens. #FamilyOfficeSingapore #WealthAssetManagement #FundManagement

Entrepreneur | Family Office | Investor | Founder @ Meersohn Marstrand, Hummano, Cecchi de Rossi and Meer
It’s been over six months since my last race, and an injury has kept me from participating in marathons, ironmans, and tournaments. While it feels like a setback, this time off has been an opportunity to strengthen the mind and build resilience. The parallels between sports and business are clear: setbacks are inevitable, but they are also opportunities for growth and development. For the entrepreneurial minds, breaks fuel the determination to return stronger and more driven to push limits, both on the field and in the professional life. The resilience, discipline, and dedication required in sports are the same qualities that drive success in business.
