OPINION: Self-sovereign identity is not enough. Updated EU regulations still make it possible to conduct state surveillance First, we need to scale Web3 identity infrastructures, writes @LashaAntadze of @Rarimo_protocol https://lnkd.in/ekYB5XMw

Thanks to Blockworks for publishing my opinion piece. 🤝 Repeating the words of one of the zkp network founder: "I want privacy to protect individuals from surveillance states. You want privacy so your wife's boyfriend can't see that you got rugged by an L2 ponzi, again," There's no room for halfway solutions when it comes to data ownership and online privacy. Compromises here often lead to the worst kind of Frankenstein solutions. While many supporters of identity management applaud the concept of self-sovereign identity by EU, we must understand that state-driven innovations often act like concrete walls, hard to make holes, dismantle or question for ages to come. Complete seperation of identity and money from state, is essential for individual freedom. It's the only way to effectively counter autocratic, outdated regimes and guarantee personal freedom. #did #blockchain #privacy

🚀 Summary: The FCC has adopted rules aimed at preventing digital discrimination in access to broadband services. However, ISPs and their GOP allies in Congress are opposing the measure, arguing that it goes too far and could negatively impact broadband investment. 💡 Takeaway: The FCC's move to prevent digital discrimination is a step towards ensuring equal access to broadband services. However, opposition from ISPs and Congress highlights the ongoing debate over the balance between regulation and investment in the industry. 📌 Hashtags: #FCC #broadband #netneutrality #digitaldiscrimination #ISP #Congress #regulation #investments
