Happy Women’s Equality Day! Third Street Digital was built by the gritty hard work of women, and I am so grateful for the career opportunities that allowed me to build an all-woman team. While I’m celebrating our right to vote, I know we have a long road to reach gender parity. Here are a few ways we can commit to pushing progress for gender equality: ♀️Break the cycle of toxic competitive rivalry. Use your power to pull up seats at the table for other women. ♀ Men, this one is for you. Validate and amplify the voices and ideas of the women in your company. ♀Confront sexism, and do it loudly. ♀Give women, especially working moms, flexibility so they can excel in all of their different roles. ♀ Managers, review your wage gap and create a plan to address it directly.

We enjoyed reflecting on what we've got right and wrong over the years striving to build more inclusive, mental healthy organizational cultures with Joy Burnford on The Equality Conversation. We touched on the challenges and benefits of co-leadership, parental leave, pivotal conversations that made us realize what we were getting wrong and what inspired us to launch WITHIN.
