There is no decision maker. There are decision makers. Plural. Even small businesses have “checks and balances,” a CEO with one employee absolutely trusts the opinion of that person. The bigger the business, the more trusted people become involved in decision making. In order to build consensus in your favor, think of each of those trusted people as a character in a story who has a (business) challenge to overcome. Now build stories to compel those decision makers to see their own (business) challenges reflected, allowing them to also discover their solution: your company Selling is solving.
