🌟 Join us in celebrating June 10th, Equal Research Day 2024! 🌟 Did you know that until June 10, 1993, women weren’t required in U.S. clinical research. That means for decades, studies on cancer, heart disease, tuberculosis, diabetes, vaccines, prescription drugs, and mental health conditions often excluded half the population. 😱 And this wasn't unique to only the U.S. In 1993, the National Health Institute (NIH) Revitalisation Act finally mandated the inclusion of women in clinical trials. But here we are, 31 years later, still catching up. 🕰️ That’s why Evvy created Equal Research Day on June 10. It’s a day to promote inclusive research, share our stories, and raise awareness about the gender health gap, the world over.
