If you send out an annual stakeholder survey, what time of year do you choose? If it’s in Spring, it’s more of a summary outcome metric. If it’s in Fall, you can collect a baseline data set, enact changes more immediately, and then send a shorter follow up survey in Spring to measure if your actions had the desired impact. I like the Pew Research Center because they do high quality work. I also like their detailed methodology descriptions. Here is one from a recent survey: https://lnkd.in/gypQVTXe There are a lot of similarities between Pew’s and Corona’s survey methodology. Similarities include using address-based samples; oversampling key neighborhood types; starting with push-to-web and sending hard-copy follow-ups; using the birthday method for in-house respondent selection; sending reminder postcards; using 11x17 booklets; calculating multi-step weighting for probability of selection and raking calibration to population benchmarks; trimming weights if needed; and considering design effect in margin of error calculations. Its nice to confirm we are using the top-of-our-industry practices.
