In my entire career, I have never been taught the value of a robust customer service team as clearly as a nightmare of an experience with Wakefit has taught me. As a company which is trying to bring a convenient D2C model to the furniture industry, the expectation is of a fast and agile customer service team which is able to satisfy the requirements of it's mostly tech savy consumers. However, in the case of Wakefit Support , the customer service team is single handedly responsible for driving away once happy customers and ensuring that we stay away from the brand for all future purchases. In my case, I had ordered a bed and a TV unit from the brand on their Republic Day sale. While the expected delivery date was within a couple of days this was where the nightmare began for me. It started with a delay in their delivery date by almost 2 weeks, followed by a further delay in installation of a further week. The cherry on top, both the Bed and the TV unit had either parts which were damaged or missing. I thought "fine, mistakes happen", and reached out to the customer support team on this. Since then I have been following up with them for almost the last month and their responses have been one of the three below 1. "I understand your issue and have escalated to the concerned team." 2. "I am changing this ticket to a priority status and we will work on it ASAP." 3. "You will hear back from our team within 24 hours regarding this." The funny thing is I am still to hear back from anyone in their team unless I call their customer support number and explain the whole issue to them again from scratch. And given that this is still to be resolved after close to a month since the original ticket was raised, obviously it is not being taken as a priority. So now, rant aside, the result is that I will never purchase a product from Wakefit again and will be an active detractor for the brand among my peer group. This is inspite of the fact that their product quality is actually quite good and I am happy with my other purchases from the brand. Really shows us the importance of a robust customer service team. Finally, to all my connections looking to buy furniture anytime soon, please stay away from Wakefit for the foreseeable future. #customerservice #customerexperience #wakefit
