I LOVED it. But, as life would have it, my dream job as a pilot became just another routine, and I found myself dreading the daily grind. Everything changed when I lost my grandfather, a former Pan-Am Captain. His legacy inspired me to reignite the fire within me. I made a choice: I decided to resign and redirect my energy towards my other passion – business and CrewBlast! This shift not only renewed my excitement for work but also rekindled my love for flight. In the media, there's a lot of talk about the stress and challenges that pilots face. 5:58 AM on September 13, 2022 is a moment in time forever etched into my memory. Sitting aboard a United Airlines flight in Seat 1C, moments before takeoff, I learned my life would never be the same. Today, a year from that moment, I reflect back and am forever grateful for the #professionalism and #compassion of the #pilots and #flightattendants of UA 5701 that morning as they, perhaps unknowingly, carried me through one of the most challenging moments of my life. And as I think about the struggles that came in days leading up to and following that moment, I can’t help but be forever indebted to my #leaders and #coworkers who demonstrated true #servantleadership, #humility and #empathy as they - at a mere moments notice - gave me the opportunity to drop everything for nearly two weeks, gave me the space I needed and offered support to someone who all so often puts up walls between his personal and professional lives. The lessons portrayed in these instances are ones that we should all carry with us everyday… - There will be moments when you may be completely unaware of the struggle someone near you is going through and just being present, doing what you always do, can be enough to get them through a tough time. - But there will also be moments when you know exactly what is happening and the way in which you respond, treat them and support them in those times is something they will always remember and associate with you. To those who did these things for me, #thankyou — you’ve taught us all something that we as #humans, #leaders and #professionals should never forget. #deepthoughtsbydaggers

Life lesson: The value of empowering future generations. As professionals trying to make names for ourselves in our respective fields, we sometimes forget how rewarding it is to inspire others. When I found out my brother was flying in #NewJersey this weekend, we planned a surprise trip to Cape May Airport (my hometown where I was raised) so my daughter could see what her uncle does for work. Little did she know that she was going to get her first #helicopter ride. Things I've learned this weekend: 1.) In this current world of chaos, it is SO important to remember that our #future generations will replace us one day. 2.) It is our duty to give back and empower future generations wherever/whenever we can, so they can be #successful when our time is up. 3.) Sometimes giving back to others is FAR more rewarding than a paycheck. 4.) 4-year old's love talking on the mic...nonstop. 😊 Thank you Eagle Air Aviation, LLC for taking some time out of your busy flight schedule to give my daughter an experience she will never forget! Look out world...there may be a new #female #pilot in the workforce soon.
