The smog problem isn’t difficult to understand. And once you understand it, the solutions are pretty simple too. Very briefly put Punjab is being poisoned by cars, coal, and crop burning. The solution is to cut down on these three things. But how do you do it?  From the origins of smog in Punjab in the mid 1990s to its epoch in 2016 and the years since, the smog problem has thrived on a lack of political will. Pakistan actually has a robust history of environmental legislation.
