Hello Good People, I had no engagements for last couple of weeks and I found myself too lazy and scattered. But the Climate Crisis is alarming, specially for the low lying countries like Bangladesh which has an average elevation of 5-10 meters above sea. The women are most vulnerable for Climate Crisis. And actions must be taken from all individual to mitigate this Challenge. I've done a simple research from existing secondary data and published this article. Today (25 September), it is eight years since the world adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The need for action on the Goals is now greater than ever. Travelling back home from Manchester and reflecting on my time at the #UKCCC2023 for the second year in a row. I’m delighted to have been invited back to lead the sustainability conversations with partners Carol Ord and Kevin Peirson at Lowell. As mentioned as part of the talk, I’d like encourage everyone in the sector to take the time to engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how you and your business can make a positive contribution to social and environmental progress. People can be misled (in part due to the current Government’s complete lack of engagement) into thinking that UN goals don’t apply to us here at home. But sadly whether it’s No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Reduced Inequalities or Climate Action, these goals have not been met in the UK. There is work to be done and we need everyone to contribute.
