Lead quality is the single biggest point of contention between marketing and sales. How do you make it better? 👉 Be proactive and set expectations when it comes to things you can control. For example, last week we got 6 spam demo requests in a single morning. They were spread across the sales team but nobody likes a booked meeting that’s actually spam. Here’s what I did to fix it: 1. Identified the source of the leads and common email domains 2. Paused the ad campaign they came from 3. Learned how to exclude email domains on a Hubspot form (check this out if you aren’t using this feature already!) 4. Messaged the sales team acknowledging what happened and listing the changes I made In about 15 minutes, I was able to change a debate on lead quality into a series of thank you messages. ➡️ Taking action on things you can control makes it easier to ask for grace on things you can’t. You'll be wondering why you didn't do this sooner. Does the idea of reducing costs and increasing profits sound appealing?
