Lead quality is the single biggest point of contention between marketing and sales. How do you make it better? 👉 Be proactive and set expectations when it comes to things you can control. For example, last week we got 6 spam demo requests in a single morning. They were spread across the sales team but nobody likes a booked meeting that’s actually spam. Here’s what I did to fix it: 1. Identified the source of the leads and common email domains 2. Paused the ad campaign they came from 3. Learned how to exclude email domains on a Hubspot form (check this out if you aren’t using this feature already!) 4. Messaged the sales team acknowledging what happened and listing the changes I made In about 15 minutes, I was able to change a debate on lead quality into a series of thank you messages. ➡️ Taking action on things you can control makes it easier to ask for grace on things you can’t. PS - audited your Performance Max campaigns lately? 👀 This was the campaign that caused the issue in the first place!
