Do you know to be #Kind and #Fun, and #SayNo? Do you want to be even more highly emotionally intelligent? In a recent interview, professor and Dr. Christophe Haag an expert in social psychology and Emotional Intelligence, shared with Anne Ghesquière (one of my favorite French podcasts) two reliable and most seen qualities of any emotionally intelligent person. Read until the end ⤵️👀 👉🏾1. Emotionally Intelligent individuals are incredibly 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝. Yes, being kind is a quality of highly EQ kids, adults, employees, managers, leaders, and HR Specialists like you. For example, He said they will be the ones who will always start a conversation saying Good morning, how are you today and genuinely waiting to hear the answer to care. 👉🏾2. On the other hand, emotionally intelligent people also know to 𝐒𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐨 and set boundaries. Yes, I totally support this statement and polarity because what happens from time to time is an imbalance between being too kind or perceived as too harsh. My question: So, why not be both? Should we quest for a balance in life? If you go running every day, you might end up having your ligaments stressed at a certain point rather than running and resting a few days in between to get your body tissues and articulations strengthened and healed from any effort right? Are you with me? Getting balanced is a daily emotional quest, too. So here is the thing: being Kind is not a problem. On the contrary, it’s a quality you should diffuse and promote in your company as a strength, especially within your management and leadership development programs. Don’t fear telling your Financial background staff, MBA, MIT, IT, or Engineering population to be even more kind to their staffing in your upcoming half-year or next performance review. On the other hand, you should also ensure that your kindest employees, managers, and leaders know they are allowed and should place a gentle NO to set boundaries to protect themselves from any abusive or unbalanced perceived situation. So let me ask you this question: Are you perceived as a kind HR Specialist or as a boundary creator in your personal life and within your company? Or both? I wish you a beautiful sunny day. Honestly, it makes a difference to the morale. 😊☀️ Happy Friday! If you are new and an employee or HR Specialist, follow for more.
