Reflecting on June: A Transformative Month for Collective X As June comes to a close, Collective X is proud to reflect on a month filled with impactful milestones and celebrations. From our inaugural conference to our rebranding and the launch of the Digital Skills Industry Fund, June has been a testament to our commitment to empowering the youth and pioneering change in the digital landscape of South Africa. We kicked off the month with a sense of anticipation and purpose, gearing up for the "Here For Us: Unlocking the Power of Digital Skills" conference on June 13. This event brought together over 300 delegates from the public and private sectors, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration. A major highlight was our Youth Panel (pictured above), which featured young graduates who have been empowered through digital skills training within our ecosystem. The conversations and connections made at the conference were truly inspiring, and we are grateful to our co-convenors—BPESA, Business Unity SA, DIGITAL COUNCIL AFRICA, Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator and Youth Employment Service (YES) South Africa—for their support and partnership. During the conference, we also unveiled our new brand identity, reflecting our future-focused vision and united purpose. Our rebranding signifies our ongoing commitment to shaping minds, empowering communities, and creating a thriving digital future for South Africa. June 16 marked Youth Day, a poignant reminder of the potential and resilience of South Africa's young people. We celebrated their vibrant spirit and reaffirmed our dedication to closing the digital skills gap, equipping the youth with the tools they need to drive economic growth and innovation. A major highlight of the month was the launch of the Digital Skills Industry Fund on June 18. With R50 million already raised and more funding in the pipeline, this outcomes-based private sector fund aims to scale and enable tens of thousands of in-demand digital skills into the South African economy. Administered by Bonds4Jobs, this initiative is a transformative step towards empowering South Africa's digital future. As we wrap up this remarkable month, we are filled with gratitude for the support and engagement from our partners, stakeholders, and the wider community. Together, we are making strides towards a digitally inclusive future. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in continuing this transformative journey. #CollectiveXChange #YouthMonth #DigitalSkills #Empowerment #Innovation #Transformation #FutureFocused #HereForUs #DigitalFuture
