A big thank you to the instructors at Spring Valley Trout Farm who assisted our youth with fishing! They not only guided them through catching fish but also helped prepare the catches for our families to take home. Our youth loved connecting with nature & catching their own food!

On National Schizophrenia Day, we shine a light on the challenges of those with schizophrenia. At The Children's Center, we’re dedicated to offering care and support to those affected. We strive to foster understanding, eliminate stereotypes and challenge stigma.

Join us for our Foster and Adoptive Care Orientation to learn all about the process of fostering and adopting children. This informative session will cover everything you need to know, from the requirements and steps involved to the support available for foster and adoptive parents.

Our dynamic partners at HOLLINGSWORTH and Crown Staffing Solutions, L.L.C. energized our summer campers with their creative drive and skills by helping our youth campers imagine building a community of their own! They assisted our youth envision their own dreams after receiving blueprints from youth and aiding them in building real life prototypes from donated recycled boxes. We appreciate the impact our partners provide in helping children imagine their futures!

The Youth Led Candidate Forum covered topics such as religious freedom, busing, education, reproductive rights, after-school programs, LGBTQIA+ rights, healthcare, mental healthcare, and more. We want to give a shoutout to our Youth Advisory Council for participating and leading some of the questions. A very special thank you to the candidates who joined us, including Tonya Myers Phillips, Ernest Little and Barry Altman running for the 7th State House District, and Congressman Shri Thanedar, Ph.D. and Shakira Hawkins running for the 13th Congressional District. Your participation made this event memorable and impactful!

A very big heartfelt thank you to Charlie Langton of WJBK-TV FOX 2 Detroit for moderating our Youth & Family Led Candidate Forum! Our families had an incredible opportunity to engage directly with candidates for the 13th Congressional District and the 7th State House District. This forum provided a platform for youth and families to voice their concerns, ask crucial questions, and make an impact on our upcoming Primary Election. Special shoutout to our community partners for this event Congress of Communities, 482FORWARD, Michigan's Children and Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation.
