Myth Busting - Work Experience If you offer a placement you don't get given a student to take, you can interview and find the student to find who's the best fit for your business. This is a win win, you know who you're getting and the students get valuable interview experience, we all know how daunting interviews are! Extra win, if you have a staff mentor you are looking to be on an interview panel for the first time, they can also use this as practice. A staff member looking to progress to team leader, mentoring a work experience is a great first step to developing management skills. 🔹 Lou Earp - Dutton Gregory Solicitors 🔹FREC🔹 example below is wonderful to see. In the New Forest Sam Sutton takes this approach as their work in outdoor activities is niche it's important to have the right student to ensure the experience is great for them and for Sam's team. Underrepresented majority Black students who entered 150 Albany Avenue, Brooklyn, New York in September 2011, from NYC Department of Education showed that 2-year CTE/STEM degrees from The City University of New York City Tech, CUNY could be earned with no academic screening and no tests for admissions. “Being in the Black community, college has always been a goal your family wants you to accomplish, because at one point, we weren’t able to get those degrees. As a Black person maneuvering through life, a college degree is the ultimate accomplishment. But it shouldn’t be anymore.” Yssa, 23 year old software engineering apprentice at an advertising company. "CareerTech changes the trajectory of thousands of peoples' lives." - Andrea Shah, CareerTech Student CareerTech student organizations leaders, including FFA, FCCLA, TSA, HOSA, BPA, Skills USA, and DECA leaders, spent a day last month at the Oklahoma State Capitol. The students spoke with lawmakers sharing the impact of CareerTech on the student's career aspirations and the practical skills they are learning today.
