Exciting news! Our team, in collaboration with MSA Design, has been chosen to lead the design of Xavier University's pioneering College of Osteopathic Medicine building. Messer Construction Co. has been selected as the builder. The new building will feature a variety of learning environments and simulation spaces where students can immerse themselves in real-world situations to prepare for patient care. The first class of students will be divided into four cohorts to create learning communities, each centered around a dining space to accommodate the busy life of a medical student. “Medical students traditionally come to medical school, and by the time they graduate, they’re very stressed,” said Dr. Steven Halm, DO, FAAP, FACP, FACOI, Dean of the College. “It’s not an easy process. I want my medical students to end happier than when they show up. I want them to have direction. I want them to have purpose. That’s at the core of how Xavier’s medical school will be unique. It’s a very interesting mind-body-spirit connection.” Check out the Biz Journals article here (paywalled): Xavier University picks Slam Collaborative to design medical college - Cincinnati Business Courier (bizjournals.com)
