📣 Some data and actions points from Palestinian activists and media, and today's Funder Briefing organized by Grassroots International, CLIMA Fund, EDGE Funders Alliance, Prospera International Network of Women's Funds, Human Rights Funders Network (HRFN), Purposeful, Global Greengrants Fund and others.
🔻 Israel is regulating the type of humanitarian aid that enters Gaza from Egypt, they are not letting in oxygen tanks or fuel and the food they are letting in is not even enough for 1/5 of the population.
🔻 Because of that there is no water, they can't pump it, all the very little food production is not enough to cover the basic needs.
🔻 Hospitals are running out of fuel, as a result hundreds of patients with daily dialysis, cancer treatment, diabetes and other diseases are also starting to die.
🔻 Hospital shortages are leading to epidemics of hepatitis and cholera.
🔻 Gaza is not the only place where Palestinians are being killed, in the West Bank they are torturing entire families and in detention centers they are sexually abusing and filming Palestinian men.
🔻 They are shocked by how fake news are reproduced all over the world, they call to reflect why there was an immediate support to Ukraine in front of the Russian invasion but there are still people supporting this genocide
👉 in the face of that, some calls to action we can make from the Global South:
🌷 keep asking for immediate cease fire, this is the first necessity
🌷 resist the ethnic cleansing by sharing their resilience and culture
🌷 support does not end with the cessation of bombing, Israel has been subjugating the Palestinian people for decades
🌷 share news and videos of Palestinian journalists and activists
🌷 and last, something that breaks my heart, that we enjoy life.
💡 They are very thankful for all the protests and support, specially from the US after so many politicians are openly defending this genocide, keep protesting however you can!
