Financial Innovation with Diamond Standard. Thank you for your participation at our most recent Super Summit! In a speech in New York, Cormac Kinney discusses an innovative opportunity in the diamond market. After years in hedge funds and software development, he highlights diamonds as a $1.2 trillion asset class with untapped potential for investors. Traditional investments in diamonds are hampered by a lack of price transparency and liquidity. Kinney's company has created diamond commodities, approved for trading on the CME, which standardize and democratize diamond investments. He compares this to the historical financialization of gold, silver, and uranium, predicting similar price increases for diamonds. The company is raising $25 million, with $16 million already secured, and aims to offer various financial products backed by diamonds. Interested parties are invited to learn more and consider investing.

I have listened to two of her lectures, on a very challenging topic, and she was amazing. I would definitely invest my time/money in Melinda Elmborg . Either she is really that good, or she has the magic to make people trust her. (And now there goes the appraisal, you can skip this part completely if you prefer cynical and negative comments...) Either way, I felt like I really want her to teach me tricks, I want that lightness- as if she never had problems being a woman in VC, as if she doesn't have any problems and just surfs on the waves of the VC/startup ecosystem- just pure confidence, 0% arrogance. And I know, to get to THIS stage, you had to go through e v e r y t h i n g and process it in the best way possible. The best way to describe how I perceived her is the arm of steel in a silk glove. And the way she talks about "her startups" (that she mentors)... It reminds me of my favourite professors, who knew how to call you out on your b.s, how to challenge you, but... with affection. Do I get something from her for writing this? I sure hope so! LOL But, yeah, my unfiltered enthusiasm comes from the fact that I am the kind of person who needs to see some role models in the career that I am exploring/imagining myself in. We had great and successful VCs as lecturers in our Venture Challenge, but, nah, I couldn't feel "that something". Then, I am reading like crazy about the startup ecosystem and VCs and there are so many negative comments, talk about women being a minority and what they go through as VC interns and founders(and they are, like, less than 5%),... So, plenty of disappointment there. And, finally, comes a bright, enthusiastic person, who can explain, teach, motivate, call the things their real name... Huh, I kinda don't want to meet her more thoroughly, to not burst this bubble. Nope, just kidding, I want to work with her, like, now! (I still don't know what, though, I have to figure that out first) :D
