"A dream is a wish your heart makes..." This line is from a song in the 1950 Cinderella animated classic and it applies to both coins dropping this week. One depicted event may be fiction and the other real-world, but both have had huge real world consequences. How many of you have been to Cinderella's castle in the Disney theme parks? Or the Kennedy Space Center in Florida? Both of those real-world places exist because someone had a dream that they turned into a reality. Millions (if not tens or hundreds of millions) of people have had experiences with these very real places, films, broadcasts, etc. because dreams were followed up by real-world action. Talk about impact! Find out more about each coin at the link below, but first make a note to be at 7kmetals.com on... https://lnkd.in/gyfzx5U2

Isabella Deshon knew she loved movies from the moment her dad took her to the theater. However, she didn't know she was passionate about making them until high school. Since then, she has pursued this passion, which led her to our Bachelor in Communication and Digital Media. During her time at IE University, Isabella has explored her creativity through the IE Theater Club, and the IE Short Film Festival, where students can showcase their skills in a relaxed environment. Learn more about her artistic pursuits in the following episode of "In Their Shoes," or in this article.

The challenges facing the American Theater have been numerous and unprecedented. No one questions the devastating impacts of the pandemic or environmental changes afterward such as the exodus from city centers due in part to extended remote work. We have very little power to address the impacts of climate change, rising crime, inflation or public health. So, we must examine what is within our control. The hard truth is while facing these existential challenges, we have also shot ourselves in the foot. How many manifestos have been written about… - Eliminating boards and weakening governance - Divesting from subscribers and donors - Enacting production changes that knowingly increase costs exponentially with no viable path to sustainability - Subjugating artistic quality to process - Minimizing entertainment as a central value of theatergoing This is just a small sample. Unfortunately, these manifestos have been received as gospel by many well-intentioned people, in part because they have been championed by historic purveyors of best practice like TCG. When critically examined by others, those questioning their merits have been labeled as everything from boomers to bigots. In some cases, revolutionists themselves have been called upon to lead giving them the freedom to enact the changes they champion, and the field should ask – to what result? There are many causes in play driving the regional theater crisis. The one we least like to look at is what we have done to ourselves, but changing the variables within our control is also the only path ahead for field. We must transparently, honestly and rigorously examine the changes the field has made to assess their impacts. #theater #performingarts #artsmanagement

I did a comprehensive review of the Paramount Indiana Jones 4K UHD release with all of its issues and revisionism. Virtually every effects shot has been manipulated and screwed with, there’s no original audio presentation, the discs have major compression and encoding issues plus zero effort put into the set contents. Changing film visuals, effects and sound is just plain wrong. https://lnkd.in/dnMbgSbJ
