The New Yorker, The cartoon by Julia Thomas humorously captures a common scenario many can relate to: the challenge of deciding what to cook for dinner. It cleverly highlights the everyday dilemma with a playful twist, reminding us of the simple yet significant decisions we face daily. Thomas' artistry not only entertains but also prompts reflection on the relatable moments in our lives. It's a delightful reminder to embrace spontaneity and enjoy the process of decision-making, even in the smallest tasks. This piece resonates by turning a mundane question into a moment of humor and insight, making it a refreshing addition to this week's collection.

This is just how it happens in my home: I wfh, wife commutes three days out of five. I like to cook (and I get results a lot faster when cooking than from a two year avionics project!), she doesn't. She chooses, I cook: it all adds up to marital bliss:-)
