As Dr Lisa Feldman Barrett explained our brain is locked in a dark box for its whole life (our whole life) and it forms predictions based on the information we feed it. The information we give our brain is shaped by our biases and perceptions. There is always more than one perspective about anything. Yesterday finished the first AI Safety Summit in UK where governments and leading companies discussed about the potential risks of AI. The 5 objectives discussed at the summit were: - a shared understanding of the risks posed by frontier AI and the need for action - a forward process for international collaboration on frontier AI safety, including how best to support national and international frameworks - appropriate measures which individual organisations should take to increase frontier AI safety - areas for potential collaboration on AI safety research, including evaluating model capabilities and the development of new standards to support governance - showcase how ensuring the safe development of AI will enable AI to be used for good globally And the conclusions are summarized by this amazing cartoon from The Economist: AI is always more dangerous in the hands of third parties than in ours.

AI, in my opinion, can have severe consequences, but it is due to the humans who control and misuse it, not so much AI itself. I don't think we, humanity, are trustworthy enough to wield the power of AI. What're your thoughts? #ai #digitalage #ethicalconsiderations

Well, it applies to many areas.

They should admit that the technology is beyond their paygrade of understanding. AI augments the every days tasks of employees so that they can deliver more in less time freeing employes to contribute in other areas of the organization. It can also lead to more efficiencies which means a 4 Day workweek can be a viable option to the 5 day workweek most countries and industries are now accustomed to.
