While the momentum for sustainable transitions is undeniable, the journey towards efficient solutions remains challenging. That's precisely why we're actively developing a platform dedicated to sustainable solutions, aiming to streamline accessibility. Many innovative solutions are emerging from startups, showcasing remarkable products. However, they need more opportunities to be known. 🚀 Join our panel "From great green stories to a measurable impact". ☘ [ At TechBBQ 14 Sept 2023 from 14:30 CEST in the Community Tent ] Our founder and managing partner Richard Georg Engström will moderate a debate with the three panelists Lorna Goulden from LUMO Labs [ accelerator VC in The Netherlands ], Anders G Nilsson from Ideon Innovation [ leading startup incubator in Sweden ] and Sebastian Nielsen from Slow Forest Coffee [ international impact startup in global coffee production and distribution, and Science Based Targets validated ]. -- Theme for the panel -- Startups have the potential to play a significant role in addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, social inequality, pollution, and other main global challenges. Building upon my reflections on the 2030 Startuplab 2030 Cleantech Summit at Oslo Innovation Week, I had the privilege of observing numerous startup founders pitch their ideas in under 2 minutes to an audience of like-minded individuals and investors. The high-stress environment exposed me to the dynamics of presenting innovative ideas to potential backers. As someone who thrives on learning through observation and action, this experience proved to be exceptionally valuable. Drawing from my past engagements in pitching competitions under a startup in Singapore, this summit further enriched my understanding of effectively articulating ideas to investors. From observing these pitches, this was my main takeaway: 💡 Passion is a potent communicator. Personally, the pitches that resonated most profoundly with me were those where founders authentically conveyed their passion, particularly within a community deeply committed to cleantech. Furthermore, a panel discussion held challenged the conventional notion of capturing a startup's target country before expanding internationally. Insights shared emphasised the significance of engaging international investors early on for greater exposure, a strategy deemed beneficial for long-term company growth. While acknowledging potential variations across industries beyond the clean tech space, this perspective offers a compelling food for thought. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunity to witness these impactful pitches, connect with a diverse group of individuals and immerse myself in the dynamic realm of innovation and cleantech! ⚡ #OIW2023 #OsloInnovationWeek #Cleantech #StartupLab2030Summit
